On Day 96, in the Deadlands, Colonial forces launched an attack on Warden positions within The Plaza. The goal was to, of course, advance into Warden territory, moving the front away from Abandoned Ward and toward a cultural heartland of the Warden Empire: Callahan’s Boot. The battle was arduous and torturously long; during the days and the nights, Wardens and Colonials fought bravely against one another. Defensive positions were a giant cemetery where attackers and defenders gave life and limb for country. The Wardens defended their positions bravely but were wiped out by the force of the Legion. 

In the end, the Colonials took The Plaza and continued their march east directly toward Callahan’s Boot, nipping at the heels of the retreating Warden forces and building defensive positions to prepare for the eventuality of a counterattack. Callahan’s Boot was lost between Days 116 and 121 by the Warden Army.
